Apartment of BLOOMING CHESTNUTS

The project was implemented in 2008. The apartment had a complex layout, but during the development process, it became comfortable for a family of four. Initially, the rooms were large with low ceilings. To visually increase the height of the ceilings, we reduced the size of the rooms to a medium size, created a transition from the walls to the ceiling with a hidden, stepped, gypsum molding, behind which the ventilation and air conditioning system is concealed. We filled the interior with large furniture pieces and lighting.

Area: 140 sq.m.

All technical elements and equipment in the apartment are hidden behind decorative elements. The motorized screen of the home theater is concealed in the molding, and there are no ventilation grilles; their role is performed by a narrow gap between the cornice and the ceiling. For the finishing in the guest bathroom, exquisite Vietnamese amber-colored marble was used. The same marble runs along the perimeter of the floor, along the walls, beautifully complementing the color of the maple parquet. This marble sets the overall color scheme of the room. The walls feature warm-toned paintings that imitate marble, with pastoral scenes depicted on them. The same patterns can be found on the upholstery fabrics. In another bathroom, there is a very large gypsum cornice that almost completely covers the ceiling and is tinted to match the color of the facing tiles. The Italian furniture, made to order according to our measurements, is crafted from tulipwood, coated with colored lacquers and slightly distressed to give the pieces a lived-in look. The interiors are adorned with paintings and graphics by contemporary artists, which have become the beginning of the clients' personal art collection.
